The favourite at my house is bircher muesli.

My quick, easy and tasty recipe:
1 cup quick cook oats
1 cup skim milk
1 apple, grated
Sprinkle of slivered almonds
Sprinkle of sultanas
Sprinkle of cinnamon

Soak overnight and serve - delicious!
Serves 4.

Emma, great suggestions. Porridge is wonderful in winter with seasonal fruits. I make mine with wholegrain oats with water and love a little light and creamy coconut evapourated milk on mine for an indulgent extra, sliced banana or poached pears on top. Eggs, poached and soft boiled with organic zealy bay sourdough is my other favourite. The protein keeps my hunger at bay. Long live breakfast and live longer with breakfast I say!

Breakfast is an essential start to the day, but I would say that! Porridge is so verstile, made with water or milk, topped with nuts, seeds, fruit so healthy! But also enjoy at the weekends with cream, whiskey or even go savoury. Whatever you do just eat breakfast!
