Introducing the Storehouse series by Emma Stirling APD

It’s time for a little update post on all the happenings at Scoop Nutrition.

The Storehouse Series

Are you after an easy way to cut through nutrition confusion and find credible content online?  Then we hope you’ve discovered Storehouse blog directory.  Launched in February this year with our partners Nuts for Life and Bite Communications, Storehouse is designed to be your one stop shop for food, nutrition and health blogs. Our Member bloggers are all Australian nutrition professionals with established credentials

  • Browse the blogger Directory to find new blogs to follow. We now have 80 bloggers!
  • Search for a topic of interest to find posts from our Member bloggers.
  • Scroll the constantly updating feed of posts from our Member’s blogs on the home page.

Next week we launch a brand new type of post on Scoop Nutrition, the Storehouse series.  In the spirit of our love of a healthy, collaborative, community we have invited a few special people to join us as staff writers and bring you the best from our Storehouse bloggers.  Let’s meet the first of our staff writers:

Introducing Staff Writer Ash Jones APD

Ash Jones - scoop nutrition writerAsh Jones is one of our Staff Writers and has been blogging as The Off-Duty Dietitian since 2012, check out her Storehouse directory listing here. As an Accredited Practising Dietitian Ash consults to the food industry, and also works in private practice at Fitness Wonderland in West End, Brisbane. When she’s “off duty” she’s an amateur aerialist, often seen climbing inanimate objects or dangling precariously from a height. So you could say she knows a thing or two about balance!

Following on from her incredible work as Scoop Sub over on our Facebook page, Laura is not going far!  We’ve snapped her up as a staff writer so you can still get to keep in touch and benefit from her fabulous nutrition intuition.  Laura is also now blogging on her own site Laura Ford Nutrition as she continues to work part-time and juggle dietetics study!

News bites

Congratulations Storehouse Head of Inventory Control Nina Mills on finishing her dietetics exams and course this week at Deakin.

And apologies, yes, things have been a bit slack with our enews lately.  One of the problems of moving to a do-it-yourself weekly update is that you *ahem* don’t do-it-at-all!  But we will be revamping that too.

Blogging takes a village and I am forever grateful to all those who support my vision for a bright online nutrition world by volunteering their time and services.  If you’d like to get involved in our Scoop or Storehouse team send me an email emmastirling@scoopnutrition.com
